She Draws the Line at Andy Kline

Posted in Comedy, Talk by robandjoeshow on February 14th, 2013

Comedian Norman Wilkerson joins the show for the evening to relay tales from his life including his hoarding mother-in-law and disappointments with his wife. The eagerness to see 'Lincoln' was clearly oversold by Joe, and his anticlimactic review finally comes three months after the film's release. Rob discovers that he'd predicted the Raven's world championship on the show before the NFL season even began. Rob relives some history regarding a comedian and his 'hot' girlfriend with some help from Norman. Joe fails horribly at an open-mic with some new material, but redeems himself a few days later at a weekend performance. Joe must back-peddle when his inability to temper his own constant sharing of opinions becomes too much at the show.

Offended/The Worst Question Ever

Posted in Comedy, Talk by robandjoeshow on February 7th, 2013

Tim sends one of his typically off-color emails in response to the Raven's big win, and Joe is shocked to hear that Robby was actually repulsed by it. Rob and Joe attend separate parties on Sunday, both with a lone avid 49ers fan in attendance. Rob is mystified by people who specifically avoid these football gatherings. The Academy Awards will be held in just a few weeks, and Michael Chamberlin returns to share his thoughts, make his predictions and generally get needled about his newest theatrical project and total obliviousness to Sunday's big game. Rob fails in his attempt to network with JB Smoove during his weekend of shows with the TV star. An ironically sober Rob observes other comics getting drunk at a show.
