#232 - Baby Metal

Posted in Comedy, Talk, Explicit by robandjoeshow on February 23rd, 2016

This show rocks! Robby isn't here which as always brings some anxiety. Scott Apple names some of the most famous black musical artists like Barry Manilow. The Newlydead Game was a big success, but Rob didn't introduce his dad to Joe. What's up with that? A participant in the murder mystery didn't get the joke and Joe shares more fun from the event. Check out details of the next event at this LINK. A new segment is suggested: "How much will Katie charge?" What do you think? Joe is going to be rocking out... to BabyMetal! There is even more so listen close.

The jury has reached its verdict in Robby’s Bachelor fantasy league cheating trial. The validity of Joe’s “curse” is once again reinforced by the most recent celebrity death. Joe defends the age-gap between himself and his girlfriend. Following their most recent TMOS appearance, Rob and Joe examine the possibility that Mike O’Meara may not like one on them. Many stories emerge from the two murder mystery shows over the Valentine’s Day weekend, including one about Joe yelling at some attendees afterward and another about an apparent proposition. This leads to an impromptu inquisition of Joe’s girlfriend. Rob and Joe also announce the name of their next script, which they may have made overly complicated. When Joe announce that he is going to see Carrie Underwood in concert, he is stunned to discover that Scott Apple doesn’t know who that is.

Robby on Trial

Posted in Comedy, Talk, Explicit by robandjoeshow on February 10th, 2016

Robby is enthusiastic about couponing. Rob and Joe expand on last week’s conversation about Cam Newton following his big loss on Sunday. Rob talks about his stint in Richmond, and the story of a comedian stealing someone else’s story for his own material. Joe gets manhandled when meeting Wendi Townsend’s new boyfriend for the first time. Robby goes on trial for cheating at The Bachelor fantasy contest. Scott Apple guests on the show as the trial lawyer, but gets humor almost as much as he gets music. Rob reads finalist’s entries in the “worst valentine’s day story” contest. Joe is overwhelmed by all the work surrounding the full schedule of upcoming murder mystery shows.

Racist T-Shirts

Posted in Comedy, Talk, Explicit by robandjoeshow on February 2nd, 2016

Joe is sick and he is certain that Robby is bent out of shape over the last-minute schedule changes that were made because of it. Marcus gives his thoughts on the show at the Mohegan Sun and talks about getting called-out as a racist over his new Rob Maher t-shirt. Rob and Joe find it absurd that people are painting Cam Newton as a polarizing figure who must break racial barriers. During a discussion about the woman who got a waferless Kit Kat, Marcus is exposed as a chocolate elitist. Justin Schlegel gives the performance of his life in spite of being emotional drained when arriving for the most recent murder mystery show. Former show announcer, and notorious perv, Tim introduces Rob and Joe to a new high-tech version of the peep show booth. This leads another fascinating revelation from Marcus.
